The Mass Appeal/Def Jam set is projected to move 70-80k copies in the first week with 40-50k out of that coming from pure sales, according to. With The Carters and 5 Seconds of Summer currently, Nas would have to settle with a top 5 position on the Billboard 200 this week at best. For comparison, Nas’ last album Life is Good released in 2012 debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 after selling 149k copies in its first week. Jay Rock’s new album Redemption is on course to move 24-27k (6-7k pure sales).
